Hall Newbegin, founder of Juniper Ridge, has seen it all. A true craftsman and naturalist at heart, Hall creates beautiful products that bring the pure scents of nature to the home. He first reached out to ICA when he realized that great products alone would not keep his business running – he would need help organizing his company’s infrastructure if he wanted to scale.

ICA connected Hall to pro-bono advisors who helped his management team think through the “nuts-and-bolts level details” of the business as it grew. Since that time, Juniper Ridge has become a tremendous asset to the local community, tripling its payroll and continuing to grow. Hall sees small business as a family system itself, filled with choices that can become highly personal. He credits ICA’s rigorous intervention with helping him to navigate the more complex aspects of running and growing his business. We are honored to have supported such a dedicated entrepreneur, and to have played a role in his company’s ongoing growth.

Juniper Ridge has seen ICA grow as well. Throughout the evolution of our service model, Hall has been along for the ride, providing invaluable feedback, and cheering on the mission. Juniper Ridge was one of several ICA companies that helped us to identify the critical need for more finance, accounting, and capital preparation support for small businesses. Our current Capital Preparation support, as an objective-based program that inherently entails an element of urgency, allows us to have a great impact on companies in a shorter period of time, inserting influence right at a critical inflection point in their growth. Now that Hall is seeking capital to launch a new product line, he has reached out to ICA again, and we are more than happy to support in his next stage of growth.
